Carrying only 8 diving or snorkeling guest we circumnavigate an island that according to an initial recent rapid scientific survey has 360 species of fish including the recently discovered new species of bumphead parrotfish the Muli Gireva or Ragged-Tail Bumphead Parrotfish, 38 species of hard corals and other species of marine flora and fauna yet to be discovered. Diving at Simeulue Island has something for everyone. Shallow fringing reef coral gardens where even snorkeling is an interesting and mind-boggling excursion, wall dives that plunge into the clear azure blue of the abyss, to underwater seamounts brimming with a mix of resident reef flora and fauna and visiting pelagics. Raw natural beauty of ancient tropical rainforest, glistening white sand beaches, and pristine coral and rock reefs of Sumatra is the backdrop of a new and exciting diving destination in South-East Asia's Indian Ocean.
