SURF BANYAK ISLANDS CHARTER INFORMATION
I.O.Adventures' scheduled charters are 14 days long :13 & 1/2 days of relaxing and surfing. All our departures are on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. Flights to/from Medan-Simeulue-Medan are mid-morning flights with Merpati Airlines on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Special request with air charter Susi Air can be made at a 10% increased cost of our normal charter price. Merpati Air with advanced notice and small service fee can transport longboards up to 3meters (10feet). Part of the charter price includes 1 night stay at Danau Toba Hotel the night before the charter begins and 1 night after the charter ends.
On arrival at Medan's Polonia Airport a member of our staff will meet you and escort you to hotels or domestic airlines and eventually to the charter boat at Simeulue Island, Sumatra. At the end of the charter we provide service back to Polonia Airport or Danau Hotel in Medan. Charter officially ends with arrival at Polonia or hotel in Medan but assistance with ongoing travel can be arranged. Most guest arriving from abroad fly into major hubs Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, or Jakarta. In some case guest under tight schedules can fly into Medans Polonia in the morning and depart for Simeulue the same day. However I.O.Adventures cannot be held responsible for delayed flights from international airlines or lost or delayed luggage including surfboards. Consulting with I.O.Adventures for convienient arrangements is advised.
Our on board menus are a 50/50 mix of Asian/Western cuisines. With advanced notice menu preferences can be arranged ie; vegetarian or special health menus.
All charters include use of onboard snorkeling and fishing equipment. Scuba equipment is available at extra cost, with proper certification, and the signing of a safety waiver. A PADI professional is on board to monitor all Scuba diving activities.
